Who or what is George Carlin, and the BS he speaks? He/she/it is invisible to me.

“George Carlin” is essentially invisible. So, how do we know he/her/it is real or to be believed?

Love it. However, I liked all Doug Adams works. So some BS is more equal than other BS.

I am a devoted fan. It is impossible to select a favourite clip but when he said "They own you!" I knew that he was the real deal because that is what I saw when I worked in the City of London. It was a chilling but thankfully brief experience.

Orwell was an insider. He wrote propaganda pieces for the BBC. Second Sight, lol 😆 more like insider knowledge.

Of course he was an insider - but what was his motive for writing 1984 and Animal Farm? He could have been warning us.

I think it's the, "its a crazy fantasy, this could never happen" paradoxical psychological propaganda.

Yes I understand. My statement doesn’t detract from his work. I actually thought Animal Farm was the better of the two books. My point would be Neil is making George into a Super Natural Hero. Also the big boys allowed these books to be published. Not just anyone gets there books out to the masses.

In 1948 the book would have been seen as science fiction. I first read it in 1966 when I was 14 years old. I saw it as a prediction based on the trajectory of the time. Later, I learned about George Orwell's connections and realised that it was a revelation of intent. When I worked in the City of London I found out what that intent was..... global totalitarianism which could not be escaped.
