I am very sorry to announce that Valkrie decided to stop using Substack a few days ago. She posted this and I found it very very sad indeed, as can be seen from my comment there:
"There is no 'chosen people' - there is only one soul and we each are particles of it..... like mist is ultimately capable of combining to become a part of the greatest ocean. That is God. We are there already and all living things are there with us." I've never worked out what I believe in but I can live with that!
It is a concept which is very hard to express in words but Lao Tzu, the writer of the Tao Te Ching repeatedly attempted to explain how profound life, the universe and everything really is....
He said that the Tao (way) cannot be expressed with words and if you try you are still never going to quite encompass its profundity.
I defer to that venerable ancient gentleman. The Tao is indeed inexpressible but with the analogy of water I feel we can come close as we are composed of at least 70% water, as are all living beings.
This is a song you'll like too, I think. "Here & Now" by Christine Sullivan - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6A-SpA-IqzM She's my cousin and my sisters and I used to sing with her in eisteddfods as kids and later formed a group for a couple of years. I find her voice very soothing. Might help you heal faster.
