Frances, I was wondering if you got any inspiration from this film: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triangle_of_Sadness

"Carl, a model, and Yaya, an influencer, are dating. Carl resents Yaya for expecting him to pay for meals though she earns more than him; they argue about money and gender roles. They are invited on a luxury cruise aboard a superyacht in exchange for promoting it on social media..."

It won the Palme d'Or this year.

Really? No, I do not keep up with films at all so I hadn't seen it. Strange similarities though! I will have to check it out, thanks for mentioning it. I have done it again, haven't I? I must have picked it up on the ether cos I started this series on 6th October, just as the film was released for public viewing!

I meant "inspiration" loosely, knowing that you are tuned in.

I am reminded of the wisdom given to us freely - which is why I don't charge for my work - it is not under my ownership, having come from another place, freely, asking nothing in return. How can I possibly sell another's gift?

"Nations can succumb to pride and a wrong view of wealth—and so can individuals. Jesus gave a parable that showed how subtle this snare can be. He spoke of a rich man whose fields produced very well. Delighted, the man planned to build larger storehouses for his produce and happily looked forward to a long life of comfort. But this did not happen. God said to him: “Unreasonable one, this night they are demanding your soul from you. Who, then, is to have the things you stored up?” Yes, the man died, and his wealth availed him nothing." (Luke 12:16-20)

My father had no use for owning anything - he said that we have the privilege to make use of our Master's gifts and care for them with love. We can take nothing with us when go to the other side, so why do we insist on coveting it?

That’s a good bit of wisdom for sure!

I did not want to distract from the loss of Christine McVie by diverting off to another issue. Besides, there is over half an hour of music linked in there, conveying some lovely sentiments which deserve some undivided attention! xx

Also - read the article at the end of the penultimate paragraph. That is long but essential reading.

I prefer live versions! They are always longer, loaded with extra guitar breaks and developments of the original tune. Mind you, I always use my headphones on high volume to get the "I am at this gig" feel.

Love the MJ song at the end. Great playlist. This spiritual war has really just begun. The demonic shackles have been employed to create a Prison Planet. They will stop at nothing, are capable of anything. We are already framed as non-vaccinating, crazy people. They make us the enemy.

The description of Fanny seems a lot like a certain Nuclear waste government employee...just spitballing, but reading this I had a vivid pic.
