I agree that many doctors and others are not stupid, but that doesn't mean they are complicit. Being in the dark is not the same as complicity. Being terrified is not the same, either. Having many conversations with TWO doctors isn't enough to make broad generalizations about EVERYONE who isn't outspoken.
You seem like a plucky fighter type; I am, too. But I'm also a VICTIM, of people who have used my stance, my actions, my politics, if you will, to smear, batter (psychologically), and pretty much destroy my good name, disable me from finding work... Why I am frustrated with SS. It seems to me that Stackers and readers of Stacks are simply sitting around talking, or arguing, or reading, but not really engaged in much else regarding this attack on the Earth and everything on it...

This is why I applaud Costa Rica... Of course, CR is under ACTUAL, PHYSICAL attack to push them into these 15-minute cities... Maybe THAT would wake the sleeping. ??
The awaken ones are fully awake and know what is coming the sleepy ones are on their own , they knew and could see what was happening but preferred to stay in their uncomfortable comfort zone.

You make two very generalized statements that are equally blanketing kinds of assumptions, and are all-or-nothing. With something like EIGHT BILLION PEOPLE on the Earth, I would say rather that people are in varying stages of being “awake,” which is to say, people range from being Highly Knowledgeable to being Somewhat Aware; and as for the “sleepy” ones, there are MANY levels of being unaware, being disbelieving of what they hear, or being sort of suspicious about some things… This is not a black & white situation, not by any stretch, and with an entire world full of people, there has to be, by the nature of the issues, a lot of variety in what people know or think or feel. There are few people that know everything about everything!
Oh, I really WISH I could go back to knowing diddly squat.... pottering about in my sweet little life, doing housework, making things and smiling at everyone! Pre-internet of course.... pre a lot of stuff actually!
I hear that! Back in the days (daze) of innocence… But was it really as lovely as we remember it? Or is it just so much more lovely than knowing that incredibly, fantastically wealthy people are paying other, unscrupulous people to KILL US ALL?

But, yeah.
In 57 years of activism I gained some significant experience of groups. I learned that they get infiltrated very early on and then led by undercover government operatives, cops or secret service agents.
This was very hard to spot at first but soon, over time and a wide variety of campaigns, I realised that anyone who sought to lead was invariably PAID TO DO SO.
Every campaign from Anti-War to Animal Liberation to Anti-Fracking and now in fighting for the very survival of life itself, I have witnessed movements of genuine people being railroaded, diverted, arrested, chemically coshed and even murdered.
Groups are targets. Individuals are also targets. There is no gentle way to say this but we are safer talking online in generalities and never EVER letting anyone know what actions we may be taking autonomously.
A thousand autonomous individuals working to spread information, challenge authority and throw spanners into the works of totalitarianism is the ONLY way we can operate safely.
