I have 5 full 20lb propane tanks bought this past summer...again off CL.
My next buy will be either a propane camp stove or propane burners.
I think in the era of drooling joe brandon Fing up our (USA) energy production, this winter is either going to be expensive or fraught with energy "outages". We also get winter storm outages here, so having the ability to heat a room or two for a few days, is always good.
My last suggestion would be, keep your prepping quiet. I think I mentioned this here before. When things go bad, people tend to change...and those who have not prepared and are caught short, look to those who did prep. It's the Ant and the Grasshopper story.
While I have a circle, that I trust and who also prep, no one else has any idea, I have stores of items.
May not seem too neighborly, but I am a worst case scenario type.

I find their daily news roundup indispensable for general coverage of the covid scamdemic, the harmful genetic "vaccines", the US/NATO war against Russia via proxy Ukraine, the NWO's Great Reset plans, the economy, and other topics. They've re-posted quite a few articles from Frances Leader's Uncensored.
SurvivingInTheUSA.com has many nuggets found in tabs at the top of the main page---Prepping, Off Grid, Gardening, Technology, etc. Yet, like NothingNewUnderTheSun, this is not strictly a prepping site, it's all about the topics mentioned above, and a lot of speculative stuff. It often has cutting-edge political articles written from original angles.
As always very good, both article and the comments.
Let me add something different, although some of you point to the very same direction.
Firstl : the world is not binary. For or against <whatever topic>
Second : what we focus on grows, in volume and power
So why not take some of that attention away from predicting impending chaos and put it perpendicular to these forces.

During the last 3 years, i went to different stages, from disappointment, to anger, to be pissed (murderoursly). Then to various stages of (still) intending harm to the 'offenders' <revenge>
Now every now and then i can see that 'i am that what i see'.
So the other is a mirror of my known and unknown (lol = suppressed) ideas of Life.
I can see that sinning actually is 'missing the mark'. And forgiveness should be in place were there not all my habitual instincts . . .
My husband started prepping for us about 15 years ago. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about it, and constantly researching and improving skills. Grew veggies, fruit, herbs, weed in garden in summer and in grow closets in basement in winter, had the solar and generator set up, built a rocket stove, ordered big bags of wax and made candles, learned to make medicinal teas and salves from the herbs he grew, had several different water purification set-ups, and much more. He was a hippie at heart, and a musician, wrote many songs about the government and media lies and psyops etc. over the years/decades but at the same time, he never lost hope or optimism. Always told me not to worry so much. He possessed enormous mental and emotional strength and resilience, enough for both of us. But he's not here anymore. Passed away two years ago. And without him, the world feels like an inhospitable alien place, and I'm truly lost.
Caline being fully prepared is the acceptance that death is a natural part of life I lost my Mum 2 years ago I am glad that Kath is in a better place and not here to face the music of the dance of death. But also not prepared to waste our lives is another part of preparedness.
Wow, what a huge guy and leaving such a huge gap in your life. Well, we have to set about refilling it. You have to pick up the gauntlet he let drop. You have to find your way forward using what you learned from him. That knowledge has value to others.
Why don't you preserve his memory by opening a Substack account and writing about him? People would love that and it could be cathartic for you. I have been writing my own biography since my ex husband died. I have found it has helped me reconcile myself with some important issues.

He left me lots of detailed instructions e.g. on how to start the seeds, how to mix the nutrients for the hydroponics and which plant gets how much of the solution, how to operate the program he had on his laptop for the grow lights. All kinds of stuff he wrote me during his hospital stays, so I really learned to take care of the plants during that time, and could teach others. Anyway, it's a great idea to start a Substack or just write down his story, and see how it goes.
I certainly look forward to your autobiography, especially the part about your life in Spain, it sounded truly magical!!
I second Frances suggestion. No better legacy, than to bring that man's intelligence, spirit and common sense to the world.
You don't have to be a writer or word smith...I am ample proof of that. It may seem daunting at first, but it gets easier.
I am of the mind that this world is in such shambles, because we've lost the knowledge, ingenuity, common sense and stories of resilience, that were once shared between extended family. I for one, would appreciate the knowledge your husband imparted to you and left behind.
We are all here to help you, if needed.

I just think about what he would do and then I try very hard to do it.
Generally, this means trying to be psychologically in the present moment with full attention. It means loving every living thing absolutely and thereby creating a frequency or vibration around yourself which protects and alerts you ahead of time. The Chinese call it chi or qi but it can extend beyond the physical body for a great distance. When I was a bus driver mine would reach beyond the walls of the bus! When I was a farmer it reached 6,000 square metres.
You are right that security like locks, doors and ammo will only do so much. Off-grid, I found that huge fences overgrown with blackberry bushes and brambles plus two brave shepherd dogs was all the security I needed physically. However, it was my skills with verbal persuasion and a powerful confidence that really drove off any threats before they even started. My 'presence' was in dominatable.
So I think, in an inner city location your network of friends is your wealth and preparation. Developing that and stocking up on items that might be saleable during extreme circumstances would make sense.
I think I would stockpile: lighters, candles, tea-lights, tobacco, cigarette papers, alcohol, etc. and study or practice self defence and martial arts.
There are loads of ways to skin that cat.... what a terrible metaphor that is. I have only just noticed it in the typing of it. Why would anyone want to skin a cat, anyway?

As I learnt the hard way there is more to prepping then just gear and supplies. The best tool is the MIND . The Second best tool is KNOWLEDGE . And third are the tools to do the jobs. But even with all these you may not still be ready if you are not MENTALLY PHYSICALLY or SPIRITUALLY - PREPARED.

Having lived through a ton of tropical weather events- including major hurricanes- I was always prepping. So it was a relatively seamless effort to ramp up my stash(es). I did purchase some new gear (weather/emergency) radio, water containers and camp lights. Already had a little propane cooker so stocked up on propane.
Mind you, I started this some years ago now that I live in the north where winter power outages are not uncommon.
Y'know what? Our so-called digital future is going to come quickly. Much of it is already in place. They will wait us out. As far as the 'why' MSM is talking about it out in the open? It's always their tactic. Let's not forget who sends them their scripts.
Owning both sides of the narrative is as old as the hills.
And right- pricing. Everything over here (US) is costing two to three times more than the initial scare. The difference, as I see it, is THEY have been prepping and there is a decent supply.
Digital capture is rolling out in the US. Not as quickly as in some countries. China, EU, Australia. And let's not forget Herr Schwab announcing everyone will be chipped. Can you say graphene oxide nano particles? 😨

- so keep an open mind
2. surrend your mind and all is lost (to whoever captures your attention)
- reclaim your own mind, rescind any promises made
3. so stay grounded, keep alert and put an imagery shield around you
- Mother Earth protects from spacey ideas, lol
4. 5G is not a technology, it is a design. find out about it. em waves disturb or better said intermingle with our own radiowaves (yes, we are radio-active, lol)
- yes, it causes all kinds of phenomena. do some science, what do you feel ?
5. reports tell us that em waves can bring about old trauma, which is GOOD !
- old trauma is asocociated with karma, that what we want to understand
- process it, but step by step, not all at the same time
- better now then when we die (ok, that's it, w're done, lol)
6. why secrets are all in the open ? they need our support, fight or no fight, anything will do. best are our fears and our angers, that helps them best.

My husband started prepping for us about 15 years ago. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about it, and constantly researching and improving skills.
