It's not the upper class, it's about being an ethical person, which doesn't depend on religion but on natural law: following a good conscience., which is reinforced by religion.
How much time have you actually spent with the upper class of UK? Believe me, they are obnoxious, contemptuous and hateful towards the working classes. Yes, we need ethics and a good conscience but that doesn't necessitate any religion. An atheist can be ethical.
I loved this episode, Frances! I can always feel your heart in them, no matter what drama is unfolding. :) And OMG, Freda Payne! That was a blast from the past. Cheesy song, but I kind of loved it. xo
Many thanks! I am about to pop out to my garden and potter about in the sunshine. We have 12 degrees centigrade - almost spring here! The young japanese cherry tree believes it, having started to blossom already! Who am I to argue with a tree? 🤣😂
Great to read about your life, Frances! Having also spent some years in sunnier climes, returning to England always feels like the land of the grey people.
So true! Why do we tolerate it? Mind you, I live in gloriously green Dorset now and today we actually have an almost-blue sky! I am grateful for these small mercies! 🤣😂
OMG! What hypocrisy! Tai Chi is for good health and is based on Chi Gong which predates chemical bombs in the bloodstream! That teacher was a dickhead. You need to find a better one! How disappointing!
When I mastered the Tai Chi form I went on to learn Chi Gong. That was hard. Really hard! On the first occasion the instructor had us standing perfectly still for 5 minutes and, simple though it sounds, it made me break into a sweat! Then, as time went by, we were able to stand still for longer and longer. I used Chi Gong to aid fitness when I was preparing to take part in activism - but I don't want to tell you any more, it comes up in the next few chapters! 😉

Bless you Frances for looking over for those kids and all the others who needed food and a place to stay along your way.
This was enjoyable reading, yet again. You are such a gem to share these treasures with us Frances. Thank you so much. 🤗

We surely need to pray to God to survive this:

It sets my teeth on edge! Even now! 🤣😂
Thank you Frances ❤️❤️❤️ I'm sending you heaps of sunshine from the Sunshine Coast in Queensland 😊
