I dreamed last night that I was with the Queen in a large car and we were looking at a huge stately home that was slowly disintegrating into sand. A group of drunken men were partying on one of the balconies, entertained by an opera singer. The Queen reached out and held my hand. Her skin was fragile and peeling. She looked afraid. I placed my other hand over hers. I smiled reassuringly into her blue eyes as the car drove away towards the depths of a lovely forest.

Eden never was, and, appealing though the image of it once was to me, I'm not sure I wouldn't get bored there after a while.
If only nature DID satisfy all our needs and longings! But it never has. We need to guide it. The question is how best to do so.
