Given that our options for Green Energy aren't anywhere close to the environmentally friendly the corporate complex has led everyone to believe, ( see video link https://rumble.com/vvpkcp-ep-343-lying-is-very-profitable.html ) and eventually we will run out of fossil fuels, good or bad either way, you can find scientific studies which say fracking isn't harmful, and other that warn of catastrophic dangers in the long term, I cannot see why geo thermal energy hasn't been seriously looked into, save the fact that it's just not that profitable.

Gravity pulling at the surface of the earth towards the core, creates pressure, which increases friction, which transforms into heat. Water flash steams at 312 deg F and and the resulting air of pure hydrogen and oxygen atoms reaches 1200 deg F and expands to 1700 times the volume of the water. For every mile deep into the earth, the ambient temperature increases 77 deg F. Given that the average ambient temperature of the outer crust is 68 deg F, 3.16883 miles deep and water flash steams, in what is described as invisible steam. Which is just super heated atoms of hydrogen and oxygen as a result of being ripped apart so fast and violently by the sudden external change in pressure.

I have a preliminary design for a system like this which can not only desalinate water, put produce amazing amounts of electricity, completely self contained. But alas, Geo Thermal energy is the ONLY inexhaustible energy source, unless gravity stops working. In that case, our sudden accent into space, as a result of being flung from a spinning sphere will make cheap energy a meaningless gesture.
