Thank you Frances, a story profound, joyful, sad, and ultimately a triumph. You have many gifts, including courage, honesty, wisdom, intelligence, insight, discernment, persistence, truth seeking, writing, love, humility...
My best friend and companion through the past six years has been my cat Pixie. And now I have an abandoned bull calf to feed three times daily (he is calling for his breakfast through my bedroom window now), three ewes who have reached at least 20 yo and have never been treated with any medication. Plus other cattle further away from the cottage. All my creatures are avid antivaxxers like me.
I think I did something similar from a very early age as a result of the problem of evil. I basically took it seriously when I was told I could "do anything" so I indulged a kind of hero fantasy. People kept telling me how smart I was, so I was like I'll just use it to figure all the important things out. It started small, I'd let the other kids copy off my tests. Then I was doing science competitions, winning the geography bee, and reading the Guinness book. Took a lifetime to learn no one actually wants the answers XD
Yeah. It is funny how we keep these things buried deep. I was inspired by a brief moment in a film I was watching. It sent me down memory lane.... and here we are!
Well, you're an inspiration for me. And a friend out there. I think of you during the days - living much the same except thankfully for the physical ailments, which I miraculously have avoided. But solitary except for animal friends.
This "deeply personal" writing
evokes deeply personal understanding of who you are, a precious beautiful soul.
That kind of love just doesn't come out of nowhere- God's hand is upon you. He knows your heart

have the same daisies coming up on our lawn, going to replant them on the flower beds
Looks like your going to have a house full, with all the world coming round for a cuppa
Make sure Dan gets his cuppa first
Keep well and happy in yourself, cause life always throws these curve balls
What happened to Tony?
Ooh that is a long story which you can read in my autobiography.

Beautiful!
There are many ways to mother.
You have created a beautiful post modeling this important way of being.
Lost my mother last week, so I am thinking a lot about mothering these days.
Beautiful photo from '73-- thank you for sharing of yourself in this way.
motherhood connects us all.
So happy you found my post valuable during your time of grieving. Rest in peace, Morpho's Mum. xx
Hi Frances. Lovely stories of animal friends. Intermixed with sad which is left mostly unspoken
