Recently had to do a follow-up appointment, which had been put off for two years, with the head of cardiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, a “research” facility in the lineage of any Rockefeller/DOD institution. There were actually two separate appointments, with the usual asking of the same questions by two pre-visit nurses, and waiting rooms twice. 4 hours.
It’s a maze in there, people scurrying, people lost, construction, checkpoints (which I just walked past as if I were in charge…never did get a temporary pass), and the building was looking surprisingly threadbare.
But my phone had the best 5G coverage, no matter which room I went into. Place was lit up, everyone on their hand-held or desktop computer. Lit.
Interesting! I will take your word for it because I would prefer to never visit a UK hospital - every one of them bristles with antennae and wifi at every bed last time I looked and that was in 2016! I dread to think what they are like now!
