UPDATE:

Afghanistan Is Moving Forward, Lavrov Tells Friends of Afghanistan Meeting

March 31 (EIRNS)—The Foreign Ministers Meeting of the Friends of Afghanistan hosted by China in Tunxi, was “extremely important,” sending as it did the message to the international community that it must become much more active in helping Afghanistan, first with its humanitarian needs, but then with the revival of its economy, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told Xinhua after the meeting concluded.

Before, in his address to its plenary meeting today, Lavrov expressed some optimism about Afghanistan’s acting government, which, he said, “despite the lack of governance experience, financial and economic restrictions and political and diplomatic pressure from the United States and its allies ... has managed to keep the state afloat.” The government has scored some positive results in counterterrorism, is “exerting efforts in order to comply with human rights,” and “working proactively to expand its diplomatic and economic ties.” Trade and other economic activities, primarily with its regional neighbors, are gradually increasing, and Taliban officials are meeting with foreign partners in multiple bilateral and multilateral formats.

“These promote the international recognition of the new Afghan authorities,” Lavrov remarked, reporting that the first Afghan diplomat representing the Taliban government in Moscow has been accredited at the Russian Foreign Ministry. This does not represent official recognition of the government, he cautioned, as the Taliban government “does not fully represent all sections of Afghan society, and we see this as the main obstacle.” Should that condition be met, the UN should lead the way in officially recognizing the Taliban movement, he said.

But Lavrov also warned that the situation remains unstable, with international terrorist groups and the Panjshir resistance guerrillas still major factors of tension in the country—and a threat to the region. So, too, drug trafficking has not abated, and cultivation and production of illegal drugs increased last year. High-ranking Taliban officials are sounding the alarm over an increase in drug addiction to 5 million people, including 1 million women and children, Lavrov said, but Taliban officials “have not prohibited farmers from planting opium poppy in light of the difficult economic situation.”

Here, Lavrov put the onus on the international community, which must “aid Afghanistan’s transition to alternative crops.” Comprehensive measures, combining law enforcement with improvement of agriculture and healthcare, are required to deal with the drug problem.

March 30 (EIRNS)—The Third Foreign Ministers’ Meeting Among the Neighbouring Countries of Afghanistan began on March 30 in Tunxi, Anhui, China. Several other important diplomatic meetings will be held around that two-day, March 30-31 gathering of the foreign ministers or representatives of China, Pakistan, Iran, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan; Indonesia and Qatar have also been invited to attend a meeting with the Afghan Acting Foreign Minister. There will be a meeting of the “Neighbouring Countries of Afghanistan” with Afghan officials, and a separate China-U.S.-Russia consultation meeting on the Afghan issue as well. The forum will also facilitate a series of bilateral meetings between the parties attending.

From Afghanistan, attending are Acting Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar and Acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi.

Abdul Nasir Rishtia, CEO of Afghanistan Steel Mills Union, stressed the key role of China in addressing the Afghan crisis. “Afghanistan gets much attention from its neighbours and it [the meeting] will probably have productive results. But unfortunately China has been the only country in Afghanistan’s neighbourhood that has brought an economic approach. Such an approach can benefit both countries. We are in extreme need of China’s economic cooperation, as it is an industrialized country that can help Afghanistan technically.”

Shafiullah Azam, General Director of Economic Affairs in the Afghan Foreign Ministry, told CGTN: “This meeting is very important for Afghanistan, because all neighbouring countries are invited and usually the main topic would be Afghanistan, regional connectivity and economic cooperation among these countries.” He also stressed his government’s hope that, “on the other hand, it is an unannounced recognition of the Afghan government.”

This US government should be forced to return that stolen money and be tried in the international court.

If that one is any less corrupt than all of the others nowadays.

Didn't Brandon leave 97 billion dollars of weapons to the Taliban and then pay them millions more to behave responsibly?

I speculated at the time that the hardware left in Afghanistan was to encourage the Taliban to invade any one of their neighbours... doing the globalists a favour and opening up war fronts to distract Russia/China/Iran perhaps?

At the time I figured it was to facilitate the rise of the new Islamic enemy, financed, trained and armed by the US democrats / pentagon / CIA.

I was amazed that potatus Brandon, was so blatant about it though.

The Taliban already receive totalitarian financial support, don't they? Isn't that a type of UBI?

Totalitarianism does not belong to Bill Gates. He is merely one of its students.

unfortunately i can tell you what it feels like to starve ... as a teenager i had anorexia and, with intervention by my mom, pediatrician & necessary inner will, came back from the brink... got down to 90 lbs on a 5’7” frame... the most excruciating part is the headaches you get due to the thinning of the myelin sheathing on the nerves...

Ooh ouch! I have starved a few times but not to that extreme. One thing I noticed was the fierce murderous temper I would experience. My family always know it when I have gone too long without eating..... they will shove anything they can muster into me rather than witness the Jekyll to Hyde transformation!

OMG I am totally ASHAMED of the behavior of our government and our fake president for stealing billions from Afghanistan! They MUST PAY for this crap!

The US GOVERNMENT, not the "US." Most of the people here have no idea what the hell is going on, even in our own country. We are a population distracted by media, consumerism, and all the BS being ladled out now that is deliberate distraction... We used to be the healthiest people in the world; now, among the "Western" nations, we're the sickest. The dumbed-downest, the most narcissistic, uneducated, foolish... We'll lose a LOT of our population to the Jab, and the rest of us will be seriously depleted by starving us. Similar plans for Europe. The problem with fighting back when you're starving is that you don't have the strength to do it...

Oh, and stealing money? Our govt (and those behind it) steal from EVERYBODY they can. They are demonic, psychotic forces that don't give a shit about anybody that isn't in the "gang" and even then, would turn on each other in a heartbeat if they thought they could get more power/wealth. What a load of mutants... Devils.

This you cannot see in the news. It's far away, it doesn't matter. Are not considered humans.

F elite garbage. F bn garbage.

I tend to agree with Fritz, we should kill em all. Starting by the fourth power. All puppets but conscious puppets. They know what they're doing. They think they'll be spared by the elite. Bunch of cowards. Human dejects.

Wouldn't killing them all make us genocidal? I don't want to be like THEM.

Expand full comment

It would but it's self preservation. They're killing us in such different ways. Food, vaccines, geoengineering, medicines, cutting chain supplies, laws, lockdowns... It's we or them. And we pay for their own protection.

I think we should start taking out the 5G towers, stop paying taxes, take everything, or nearly everything, down to the local level, and burn all the gmo crops... Whatever side we're on regarding vaxxxxation, we can all get on board with some of the nastiness... choose one, right? It's always the grassroots that end the Hell.

"we should start taking out the 5G towers"

That would be a good kickstart. But they would still have 5G satellites?

To take everything down to the local level we need something very very important. We need people willing to work and that's something really difficult nowadays. That's one of their (elites) best achievements. They've dumped so many shitty technology to keep people distracted and alienated... When I see someone picking up the phone to do simple math like 100-16, there's no hope to rebuild the society out of nwo rules. Majority of people are laisy. If they could stay home getting money for doing nothing they would. Everyone want changes as long as it doesn't mean they'll have to be part of it.

I'm sorry to state this but that's way I see and feel.

Expand full comment

I respect how people see and feel... The question of satellites in the ionosphere is frightening... But I am confused about that, because I've read in a variety of places that 5G doesn't travel very far. I DO believe it's at least partly about surveillance. Of everyone, everywhere, all the time. How do you take down a satellite? I don't know, but we could shut down the means of collecting data from down here, maybe?

I think some people ARE lazy, but I also think people's spirits get ground down working in shitty jobs, for shitty bosses, and shitty wages. Everyone wants to have time to enjoy life and still be able to have a decent one... Things need to change, but of course, there will always be lazy people... It shouldn't be that hard to stimulate them with something they actually enjoy! But-- I sure don't have all the answers. I just want to DO SOMETHING, I want to be a LION...

Expand full comment

Right now we're about to face food scarcity. Do you see anyone willing to pick up the tools and do something about it?

Unfortunately, the masses enjoy to be laying on the couch the whole day watching TV or playing with their gadgets. Only a very small minority is willing to be a lyon. That's our main problem. Nowadays most people think the machines are solution for everything but they'll be our biggest problem.

I'm with you, I also wanna do something to help change the events course. But what? What can we do beside trying to jump out of the system that's screwing us?
