There is no better person than Francesca Albanese, as a nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize! Wonderful, Frances!!
Chris Hedges says this is the end of the rule of international law. Here is a paragraph from "The Persecution of Francesca Albanese:
"The attack against Albanese presages a world without rules, one where rogue states, such as the U.S. and Israel, are permitted to carry out war crimes and genocide without any accountability or restraint. It exposes the subterfuges we use to fool ourselves and attempt to fool others. It reveals our hypocrisy, cruelty and racism. No one, from now on, will take seriously our stated commitments to democracy, freedom of expression, the rule of law or human rights. And who can blame them? We speak exclusively in the language of force, the language of brutes, the language of mass slaughter, the language of genocide."
There is no I in TEAM may totally off the mark - but how ordinary men become crazed killers and as we know propaganda works on most sides. If I made add further note ( ai notes are being taken )
The sad part is, Frances, is that no one takes the Peace prize seriously anymore. When people like Obama get it and he bragged about how good he was at "killing people" and Trump is possibly being considered it just amazes me.
On my radar the UN is the philanthropic front for the XYZs who cause all the suffering and death worldwide!
The UN ship flies the pirate flag not the peace flag!
The UN writes reports ad infinitum!
Meanwhile people groups like the Guarani in Brazil, continue to be systematically genocided, to further the interests of the big power players regardless.
Gaza is just a larger scale genocide, that cannot be kept off the MSM for various reasons.
Or is being deliberately kept on the MSM for various reasons!
Whatever.
Are Albanese's reports stopping the war in Gaza?
Are they meant to?
Or are they just meant to keep the chameleon cover intact?
The UN is a hydra and all who sail thereon are arguably snakes!
This post is about ONE woman who works for the UN. This might suggest that there are some good people doing the right thing, despite the flaws in the organisation which hardly needed mentioning. We can all see those dark and dismal flaws but I like to show appreciation for anyone who is prepared to get in there and try to make a difference.
It is not easy to buck a trend and speak truth to power.
Hamas is an Israeli construct within Gaza. It is an agent provocateur bunch of nasty mercenaries who have endangered the Palestinians for decades. The fact that you don't know that indicates that you don't pay sufficient attention to Netanyahu's game.
Absolutely. Francesca must be honored and recognized for her exemplary achievements, her courage, convictions, her very high standards. She is a woman of great excellence. May God protect her.
She would be a good candidate IF the award was actually based on merit. Past winners include Henry Kissinger, Menachem Begin & Obama and now it looks like Bibi & Trump are the current front-runners :).
I agree. The NPP has as much credibility as the Hall of Fame does with Rock and Roll.
But Francesca is an incredibly compassionate, honest, brilliant, and succinct lady - like a well honed blade, up there with the Best of the Best... among women, anyway. JUST KIDDING! ... feeling a bit silly and the 'culture wars' set off my tourette's some days.
I watched her presentation yesterday and was awestruck. Because of the flood of truthtellers finding their way to the light, I'm feeling oddly optimistic lately, like we're going to turn the corner before it's too llate. My thoughts and prayers are continually with you, Palestine, West Bank, Iran, and the rest of the region (save one).

unrelated: I watched "Restrepo" yesterday - an excellent docu on the US war on Afghanistan. It portrays some of the realities of war on the ground, and how it affects both sides. Available for free on WatchDocumentaries
I dig your handle! I lived in SF from 89-93, just out of college making a modest salary. Fairly common for the day, my company also paid full health care, and two weeks paid vacation. No no, this in not a fairy tale, GenZ, once upon a time it was this way. I'm sorry that we failed you, but it really wasn't our fault. The corporations blitzkrieged us all, and we were blindsided, anyway.
I lived very well, a newly built studio apartment in Western Addition, had a blast on the weekends. Biked over the GG at least once every weekend, up Mt Tam then down to Sam's, usually taking the ferry back across (hiccup). I could afford to get a room and snowboard in Tahoe often, and even pay for grad school out of pocket. Even though I lived it, I somehow can't believe it was possible, like a parallel universe just two generations away.
The fantastic City was clean and safe, and incredibly fun for a hick from Indiana to explore. I miss it so much, but am very grateful to have been able to experience it in some great days.

Thanks, Sane Francisco, for inspiring me to randomly write some of my nonsense. It may not be good, but I had some fun doing it! Something something Charles Bukowski.

Thank you Frances, there are some good people trying to change the status quo.

Take all your points Frances.
Many have gone into the UN with very good intentions, like those who enter politics.
Those who have left testify, that the prestige and the significant perks, can be very blinding to the reality of what they are actually party to.
The goodies are always valuable to corrupt religions, governments and organisations as whitewash!
People of integrity leave, when they realise, that their contribution is not helping those they are supposed to be helping, by default or intent.
The UN like most governments, would not survive a rigorous cost/benefit audit.
Millions of dollars wasted, that could have relieved the sufferings and prevented the deaths of millions.
Who is behind the UN and why?
The writing on the wall is very clear.
I have been campaigning against the UN with a petition which has been running since 2016.
https://www.gopetition.com/petitions/dismantle-the-united-nations.html
Anyone connected with the UN is a Hamas apologist, in fact the UN agency participated in the Oct 7 slaughter.

Thank you a Frances for sharing this certainly reveals what we all really think surely people can’t just ignore it! 🙏🏻☺️💚

Peace, y'all!
We need a People's Peace Prize then..... One that values good morals.
Talk about a topsy-turvy world!
