I have made another poem into a song. This one is called Milky Haze https://suno.com/s/Z5THdJBNSHSLUkBM

The sculpture says to me "Looking into a nuke."

Yes, I can see that interpretation of this work by Penny Hardy, a British artist.

The artist herself intended the ‘Blown Away’ Series of sculptures as a response to the strong emotions that affect us all at key points in our lives, the physical impact they have on our bodies and the influence external or environmental forces have on all of us.

OK, I can see that aspect also

My thoughts after reading verses was of a solo guitar, finger picking, folky genre, female voice, naturally! But, what a surprise with the arrangement of the music and beautiful harmonies. It brought a few tears to my eyes too. Thank you for sharing.

I did a folksy version first but it wasn’t epic enough for the subject matter so I slung the full orchestra and choir options into the mix. I am thrilled you liked it! xx

Listening to this is like a warm embrace. It is wonderful.

I did not play the song. But the words of the verses elicited my tears. When a writer captures what we have already once thought, and offers them with artistry, in heart forms, we know it at once. I think Frances just gave me a place to put my love and all the grief with no place to go.♥️

You really are missing out by not listening to it, honestly! :-))

I had to wait for it to load, 30 secs or so, just black screen with play/pause during the wait.

I particularly would like to see what Suno can do with some of your songs, Dallas.

This is beautiful ! It is a six minute song that kept me interested to the end because the words were so well expressed with a beautiful accompaniment. it seems you have a new road to explore and share with us. Thank you!

Frances, if it were a fine wine, which it is, then I'd describe it as a blend of a solid homeopathic constitution with elemental overtones and a suggested drink-by date into eternity. It requires that a fortunate taster takes extra time to appreciate its complexity. The patient among them may find the bouquet inducing a subtle euphoria akin to microdosing on psilocybin.

I know nothing about wine and fine poetry other than that I recognize both when I taste and read them :- )

Frances Leader's avatar

I have never microdosed on psilocybin. I generally use five of them on a slice of cheese on toast. Lovely.

mo's avatar

It's been decades since I've taken psychedelics so it's an old memory. But the enduring aftereffect can still be found in my writing, etc . :- )

Re "them", are you talking about truffles?

Frances Leader's avatar

No. I am referring to psilocybin mushrooms, fresh from the field.

mo's avatar

Five fresh ones isn't microdosing? I think Alice must have consumed more than one toast and cheese slice when she visited Wonderland.

Frances Leader's avatar

I guess it depends on a number of factors…. Was Alice a child? Was Alice reduced in size at the moment of consumption? I thought a microdose was a small amount of dried magic mushroom powder rather than fresh crop.

mo's avatar

Micro dosing is my ad hoc word for an unquantified amount that will induce a subtle change be it dried or fresh of the vine. If it were laboratory grade extract then the amount would be typically less than 1/100th of the pharmacologically active dose.

I think long ago I caught a buzz from 5 fresh ones but maybe that was because I didn't adequately rinse the cow manure off of them :- )

Absolutely beautiful.

More reminders of beauty in our world is essential these days.

Much appreciation!
