Took 4 days to get over the cocodamal there after 3 months of high dosage after injury. If you know what is causing the darkness you can get by from what I seen but fk me it's tough. Well sure it's no big revelation but people onmass need to wise up to those pharma fkers

Addiction to Big P-Harma painkillers is horrendous! I tell people who use pharmaceuticals to do this little test:

Piss in a clean glass. Leave it to stand somewhere in good light and watch it. You can see tiny specks of white powder falling to the bottom of the glass and if you leave it long enough it can look like a miniature snow drift, in really bad cases. This is a great way to monitor whether or not you are clearing the toxins + fillers out of your kidney. If there is a lot of snow drifting down, set about detoxing with charcoal, sauerkraut, glasses of distilled water with a sprinkling of bicarbonate of soda (to make it alkaline) or take spirulina or chlorella which will also leach out any lurking metals which nobody wants in their blood.

Yes, withdrawals are beastly dark times, full of self hatred and irritability. They can take a very long time to disappear but at least you can check your urine and get solace from your progress over time. Thanks for mentioning this Arbz, well said.

Sitting with a couple of Guinness now. Hope to hit the city hall again tomorrow like nearly every fortnight...apparently pointless to stand in a small group with placards but I'll continue until I see an alternative

Sadly, you are right. I am sure that this was not always the case. These addictions have been nurtured by oppression. When landowners started denying people access to land/forest/rivers/lakes, where they could hunt and gather they were also denying the people natural medicines, causing sickness and starvation. This was a very long time ago, obviously but the effect has continued to deplete our health.

When science discovered that we have cannabinoid receptors in our bodies it had to be admitted that cannabis/hemp/marijuana must have always been an essential part of human being's diet. There must be other essential vitamins and minerals locked into nature's gifts that have been chopped down, ploughed up and/or grassed over.

What we call addiction could simply be sub-conscious self medication and the more pressures, stresses and distress we place on ourselves, the more we will crave to 'escape' with intoxication.

I worked in healing addiction at an alternative clinic for many years. We found that if we replaced the drug of choice with an appropriate herb, with a similar but milder effect, we had a lot of success in guiding our clients through cold turkey and towards conquering their addictions.

Obviously we had set-backs, relapses and personality changes but we saw our clients at least once a week to restructure their formulas and our strategies according to the individual.

It always struck me that the cravings would subside in tandem with improvements to the general health and, therefore, the cravings may be the result of deficiencies in the diet for the most part.

They'll try all kinds of craziness.

Thank you Frances. Question: is it that there’s more death around us, or is it that life has become cheap and expendable?

Expand full comment

Neither. All life has always had to deal with death. Life is NEVER cheap or expendable.

Please read the answer I gave to MA on this post. I think it explains why we crave altered states of consciousness quite well. We need to escape the oppression. We need to feed our deficiencies. We generally don't know how to fix things and our friends seem to be having such a good time at the parties..... so we try whatever is taking the edge off of their oppression. We must try to understand addiction and especially NOT persecute those who are suffering from it.

When people eventually put allllll this together... it will be ended!

I mean, the dots are getting bigger (the Bad Guys have ALL KINDS of nastiness for us!!), and connecting them is getting easier.

We have to keep shouting, or start shouting and not just talking to each other...

It would seem endless, wouldn't it? I am so glad that it would never occur to me to try to kill anyone.... I don't understand that motivation at all.... it is really weird.
