"Cynthia is an engineered microbe designed to eat oil. In fact, the oil-eating bacterium Pseudomonas putida is the creature which ushered in the whole bio-tech revolution, having been the subject of a watershed court case (Diamond vs Chakrabhati) in the Supreme Court of the United States in 1980, in which Justice Warren E Burger ruled that a living, man-made micro-organism is patentable subject matter as a ‘manufacture’ or ‘composition of matter’ within the meaning of the Patent Act of 1952. The multiplasmid hydrocarbon-consuming Pseudomonas was the first patented organism in the world.

In its incarnation as ‘Cynthia’, designed at the J Craig Venter Institute for Synthetic Genomics corporation, the organism was loosed in the Gulf in 2011. At first Cynthia did her job well, tearing into the oil with a fierce appetite. However, she quickly began to show a taste for the flesh of living creatures. Reports of strange occurrences – five thousand birds falling from the sky in Arkansas, a hundred thousand dead fish coughed up by the sea in Northern Louisiana – starting appearing. One hundred and twenty BP employees who had worked on the clean-up fell sick from mystery illnesses. People who swam in the Gulf or were even caught in rainstorms found themselves covered in itching sores, some of them dying in agony from internal bleeding. Cynthia reproduces rapidly within the body, and is immune to antibiotics. According to the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), up to 40% of the residents of the territories adjacent to the Gulf of Mexico have become infected with severe respiratory and skin diseases."

"The Story of Synthia" explains -- in a cartoon -- how some scientists are attempting to create synthetic "life." By replacing the genome of a natural microbe with a human-made genome constructed from synthetic DNA, they hope to give birth to a new, synthetic species -- mycloplasma laboratorium.

Cynthia (or Synthia) eats hydro-carbons and was added to Corexit by BP during their miraculous 'clean-up' of the BP Horizon disaster. This biological nightmare is reported in this video from Nov 2010 and references revolutionary VACCINES!

We now have reports of people with synthetic blood from South America.

If there is one thing these two videos of Clifford Carnicom you have in the post show more than anything is how diligent he is with his choice of words and how careful he is to differentiate between what can be proven definitively and what cannot.

He is also very clear in articulating what is needed to achieve definitive proof of what cannot be proven at this stage.

This is how a real scientist speaks and how real science works as opposed to "“The Science™" which has been in vogue in recent years.

An excerpt from pg 37 of the World Economic Forum's report entitled "Global Risks 2015" --

"In 2010 Craig Venter and his team demonstrated that a simple bacterium could be run on entirely artificially-made DNA.1 Applications of synthetic biology that are currently being developed include producing biofuel from E. coli bacteria; designer organisms that act as sensors for pollutants or explosives; optogenetics, in which nerve cells are made light-sensitive and neural signals are controlled using lasers, potentially revolutionizing the treatment of neurological disorders; 3D-printed viruses that can attack cancer;2 and gene drives as a possible solution to insect-borne diseases (as discussed in Box 2.7).

Alongside these vast potential benefits are a range of risks. Yeast has already been used to make morphine;3 it is not hard to imagine that synthetic biology may allow entirely new pathways for producing illicit drugs. The invention of cheap, synthetic alternatives to high-value agricultural exports such as vetiver could suddenly destabilize vulnerable economies by removing a source of income on which farmers rely.4 As technology to read DNA becomes more affordable and widely available, privacy concerns are raised by the possibility that someone stealing a strand of hair or other genetic material could glean medically- sensitive information or determine paternity.

The risk that most concerns analysts, however, is the possibility of a synthetized organism causing harm in nature, whether by error or terror. Living organisms are self-replicating and can be robust and invasive. The terror possibility is especially pertinent because synthetic biology is “small tech” – it does not require large, expensive facilities or easily-tracked resources. Much of its power comes from sharing information and, once a sequence has been published online, it is nearly impossible to stop it: a “DIYbio” or “biohacker” community exists, sharing inventions in synthetic biology, while the International Genetically Engineered Machines competition is a large international student competition in designing organisms, with a commitment to open-sourcing the biological inventions.

Conceivably, a single rogue individual might one day be able to devise a weapon of mass destruction – a virus as deadly as Ebola and as contagious as flu. What mechanisms could safeguard against such a possibility? Synthetic biology and affordable DNA-sequencing also opens up the possibility of designing bespoke viruses as murder weapons: imagine a virus that spreads by causing flu-like symptoms and is programmed to cause fatal brain damage if it encounters a particular stretch of DNA found only in one individual.5"

Yes, I've already seen that the day it was uploaded. I simply wanted to show that the WEF was discussing long ago some of the horrendous harms that could easily come from these kinds of synthetic organisms, and I assume that they had already figured out which of those harms they intended to implement, viz., their own "virus that spreads by causing flu-like symptoms and is programmed to cause fatal brain damage".

That is all well and good BUT their blurb is full of lies because there is no virus. There is only nanotech bio-sensors and electro-magnetic radiation.

Venter is an a$$ hat who ironically by being completely, idiotically fixated on the human genome (despite all evidence pointing to the irrelevance of DNA vs the importance of the "junk DNA" they did not map)🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️Has, through his little experiments, unleashed untold suffering and destruction to the human genome. If we win, he will go down in history as the idiot who synthesized Cynthias, opening the door to profiteering from synthetic pandemics. If we lose, well he'll be lauded as the father of synthetic biology, saviour of the patentable nATURAL world 😐😐😤🤦‍♀️

Yep! That is precisely why I wanted to bring this guy out of the shadows at this time. Cliff Carnicom and Dr Ana Mihalcea are finding horrors in people's blood. When they talked tiny flashing lights, crystaline constructions and rubbery clots, they are seeing them in everyone, not just the vaccinated. Cliff Carnicom observed that the blood cells were strangely perfect and capable of self replicating! That is when I remembered Synthia and the impact it had on wildlife in the Gulf. The whole story is virtually wiped off the internet now.

Apparently Venter is still operating in his private laboratories so who knows how many new artificial organisms he has created by now.

Thank you for making this available.

This is my personal reaction as well Joel,Atomic-level bomb grade. Frances- may become your greatest expose. As a guy who follows the biology, I am staggered. I believe the director of the film, Deepwater Horizon, Peter Berg, who is just finishing a film about Oxycontin, might just be interested in this follow up to bring to the public eye and i will try to get this story and thread to him. Thank you dear Frances‼️

Just an old activist with an eclectic collection of memories which sometimes connect up! If that Synthia is on the loose, it is one of the most horrible and well hidden atrocities that Big Oil has pulled on us and, let's face it, the list is very long.

Wow. Excellent post Francis.

Elana Freeland (early geoengineering researcher) introduced me to Clifford Carnicom when I interviewed her some years back. Folks should look into both of them.

I love Elana Freeland's work. I treasure her latest book, Geoengineered Transhumanism.

Jim Lee of https://climateviewer.com/ sung her praises years ago and triggered my interest in her work.
