I was listening to this Lex Fridman podcast when I reached a point which super-impressed me. If you can spare the time, or listen while you do something menial, do try to hear the whole podcast, it will take you away from yourself and any existential limits.
Daniel Schmachtenberger has a wonderfully wide-ranging intellect which is highly engaging. Lex Fridman gives his full attention to his guests and is happy to “go there”…. all the way, no matter how long it takes to tease out the essence of a subject.

Daniel proposes that a meaningful life consists of:
BEING (appreciating what is, in the now)

I decided to get a couple of hanging basket of pansies about a month ago;
they were fresh, local, affordable, and I wanted to see if I could overcome my distaste for sticky fingers deadheading.
So far it’s a new favorite daily tasks. I need not get them all each day, they’ll be there tomorrow. It’s done at the same time as watering, and I rinse my fingers with the fine diverting nozzle. They are lovely.
