There is symbolism in these stories….. hope even when there seems to be none.

We need to persevere, against huge odds, just like the Fellowship of the Ring.
I chose to find and share the whole story to raise our vibration, to recognise that we are not the first to fight against pure evil and to prove that it can be done.
The symbolism I perceive is profound.
The dark evil eye shown in the story is the spectre of Nimrod aka Gilgamesh, great grandson of Noah. It is a desire for total rule, possession and ownership, like Nimrod tried to do when he attempted to build the first empire.
The black cloaked riders, Nasghouls, Ring Wraiths represent the religious, the Jesuits, the mind-warpers who fell for the temptation of global power.
The orcs are elves who were turned to evil by the black magicians working for the dark evil empire. They are the warmongers, weapon makers and destroyers of all that is beautiful.
The elves, hobbits, dwarves and humans represent the various species who have been either wiped out or enslaved by the empire builders and who have no choice but to fight for their survival.
Gandalph represents love magic and communication with the natural world.
Oh, one last thought: My favourites are the ENT….. the trees have existed longer than we have!
Thanks for these. ^_^
Thank you. As a family we read Tolkien's four books - then got extra nerdy and bought The Silmarillion, The Lost Road, Unfinished Tales, and Tolkien's audio recordings in his own voice. And the movie DVDs. And the movie music CDs. And the toys. Oh my.
For decades I marched around saying the US was Mordor...but all 5 eye countries following China's (?) model makes me wonder, out of the 6, who can claim the title. What are your thoughts?
