DIVINE RETRIBUTION
Cause and effect. What comes around, goes around. Inescapable inevitability.
Have you been betrayed so that all your dreams fade
Away, like a pretty bubble burst leaves no residue?
Have you frozen in shock, all thoughts in a lock
When those you loved set out to harm you?
The spirit moves inexorably and the harm returns three fold.
It doesn’t matter how much you beg for a forgiven soul.
Divine retribution is deaf. It is as inevitable as death.
God is merciful. God is also just. It's not always easy to fathom the consequences that are brought to those who sin. But it's possible to pray for the souls in purgatory. Amen.
Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, and lead all souls to heaven, especially those in most need of thy mercy. Amen.
Eternal Father I offer thee the most precious blood of thy divine Son Jesus in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, sinners in the universal church, those in my own home, and within my family. Amen.
Holy Souls we have prayed for thee, please pray for us.
Divine Retribution has two aspects: Justice and Mercy. All the Divine really wants is for you to learn better, so you don't cause hurt again. If you will not learn, will not forgive, then you get the Justice attribute described in that poem. But if you do forgive others and you realize your mistake and try to fix it, then strict Justice is just more harm. You get mercy.
